My Approach

Hi! I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who primarily practices in NYC & NJ. After attending Kenyon College, I graduated from the Columbia University School of Social Work in 2012. I live in Brooklyn and enjoy practicing yoga, being a cat mom, and spending quality time with family and friends during my time outside the therapy room.

My practice is entirely virtual and I am licensed in NY (085905), NJ (44SC05971600), and FL (TPSW1375). I am proud to have a professional background that includes 9 wonderful and rewarding years in community mental health. During that time I worked in nonprofit, correctional, and hospital settings and had the opportunity to learn Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) while focusing predominantly on safety planning, crisis counseling, and short-term clinical interventions. This experience taught me the importance of building rapport and “planting the seed” as the foundation of any therapeutic alliance. In 2021, I entered private practice full time and began the journey of supporting clients in the context of long-term psychotherapy. I consider myself a holistic and integrative practitioner, and I believe that you are the expert of your own experience. I'm here to learn, first and foremost.

My work centers around the CBT and DBT-based strategies that I have utilized throughout my career as well as additional training in ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) that I have added to my skill set more recently. I have also trained in Exposure and Response Prevention for Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder.

Please feel free to reach out if you are interested in scheduling a consultation; I look forward to discussing what you are looking for in a treatment relationship. I believe that the right fit is essential when it comes to building a collaborative partnership that will contribute to your growth process.
